Qualitel Continues to Develop its Sporting Links - Dec 2005
![]() |
The Qualitel brand continues to be promoted at numerous junior sporting venues within the region. The recent investment in a new double-sided scoreboard at Stoke-on-Trent Rugby Club, was wholly funded and sponsored by Qualitel. The rugby club fields over 15 sides, ranging from children as young as five years old, up to veterans of fifty. The scoreboard funding allows the club to focus its’ own financial resources on the continuing, and much needed clubhouse redevelopment. |
Qualitel has also recently sponsored and supplied new first team shirts at Trentham Rugby Club, and to Newcastle School under 13’s. On the football front, Qualitel has recently launched an affinity programme at Kidsgrove Athletic Football Club (Unibond League members), which has seen advertising hoardings erected, and affinity revenues generated for the football club.
This affinity programme is the second launch to date, following the successful pilot scheme at Newcastle Town Football Club.
Giving something back
As Qualitel looks to develop its brand name across the region it has embarked upon a series of sponsorship and affinity deals with various sporting clubs. The Qualitel name can be seen marketed in many arenas, from the Coca-Cola Championship and the nonleague football scene, right down to grass roots junior sporting clubs.
Qualitel see these sponsorship and accompanying affinity deals as a way of building good partnerships within the local business community and show its willingness to put something back. The basis of the affinity deal is quite simple: Qualitel will look to sponsor any sports club or team where it feels that the brand awareness created by the affinity will in turn lead to an influx of new or reciprocal business. This kind of affinity has proved crucial for both junior rugby and footballs clubs who can not afford to buy new kit but have this new kit sponsored by Qualitel by way of thanks for referring business.
