Fixed Dial SIMs – a Case Study

Qualitel visited a major security company based in the Midlands with a view to giving an independent appraisal of its current mobile phone plan situation. It was evident from day one that the majority of phone charges were being incurred by static security guards, due to phone abuse including personal calls, texts, and the downloading of ringtones and football results! Following consultation with the management at this company Qualitel introduced a fixed dial sim solution to slash those unnecessary costs. The fixed dial sim solution means that the handsets were only able to dial a certain range of pre-allocated numbers such as headquarters and the emergency services. As these phones were not intended to be used for anything, other than these numbers, this move removed any possibility of personal phone calls being made. In addition to this Qualitel also imposed full text barring and removed any premium rate costs.The immediate effect to the company was to reduce the calls made by its static guarding department by over £500 per month. This is just one example that shows the involvement of Qualitel’s service ensuring that clients telecoms are running cost efficiently and any misuse is removed. |
